How do ground conditions work?

With the help of data from the Swedish Geological Survey (SGU), we depict the soil conditions of properties in the map tool. This includes data for soil and rock types.

What are soil types?

The soil types are the uppermost soil layer and can consist of, for example, moraine, clay or peat.

How is the quality of the data?

The quality of SGU's data varies between different locations in the country. The depictions in the map should only be seen as an indication. To get a better idea of a plot's ground conditions, you should contact a geotechnician.
